Since 1912, the Comfort Volunteer Fire department has protected Comfort and the surrounding areas.
Comfort VFD was founded on October 3, 1912 by a group of citizens who saw a need for fire protection in the community. Over the last 108 years the need has grown to not only provide fire protection but also medical first response, community involvement, and different types of rescue.
