Comfort Home Tour
Homes that reflect the history of Comfort and the lives of the town’s early residents will be highlighted on the Comfort Heritage Foundation’s Tour of Homes.
The tour is a great way to see how current residents of the community have renovated and personalized historic houses to meld their own personal tastes and family lifestyles with existing older homes’ architecture. Each of the houses honors the past and its unique heritage while featuring accomplishments of carpentry and design.The Comfort Heritage Foundation is grateful to these home owners for the fortitude of their restoration work in bringing new life to old dwellings and for sharing them with the public. The Comfort Tour of Homes biennial event serves as a fundraiser for the historical preservation and education efforts of the Foundation, which is celebrating its 40th year. Ticket price is $25 and vouchers are available ahead of time at the CHF, Comfort Public Library, or Comfort Chamber of Commerce office. A booklet, describing the homes and including a map for the self-guided tour, will serve as an entrance ticket and can be picked up on the day of the tour at the CHF Historic Bank Building, 640 High Street.
